Aragorn Ponders the Fate of the CompanyAragorn, or Strider, as he is known in Bree and the Shire, is the Heir to Isildur and rightful King of Gondor. Strider protects Frodo and his three companions from themselves and the Nazgul, or Ringwraiths, as they travel from Bree to Rivendell.

After bringing the Hobbits to the protection of Rivendell, he pledges his sword to Frodo as one of the nine in the Fellowship of the Ring. Aragorn finds strength through the love of Arwen, daughter of Elrond, Lord of Rivendell, who relinquishes her immortality for the sake of their love.

Aragorn and Arwen Profess Their Love for Each OtherAragorn is the unofficial leader of the Fellowship, guiding the nine through the lands of Middle-earth, including the Mines of Moria and eventually to Lothlorien.

At Amon Hen Aragorn fights valiantly against the Uruk-Hai so Frodo has time to escape.  Unfortunatly Boromir is slain by Lurtz, however Aragorn avenges his companion.

After the death of Boromir and the breaking of the fellowship, Aragorn rallies the dejected Legolas and Gimli.  They set out in search of Merry and Pippin, determined to rescue them from the Uruk-Hai.

The last fellowship eventually reach Rohan.  Here they aid the Rohirrim in their skirmishes against the warg riders led by the mighty Sharku.  Aragorn is seperated by the others, and is feared dead.

In fact Aragorn is merely wounded and unconscious and makes his way to Helms Deep.  Legolas, Gimli and Theoden.

During a massige seige, the forces of good battled against 10,000 Uruk-Hai.  During this Aragorn commanded a force of men and elves.
