Celeborn is an ancient Elven lord. Mighty in wisdom and arms, he rules the land of Lothlorien with his wife, Galadriel.

The fellowship meet Celeborn after journeying through the Mines of Moria. He offers them protection and rest.

Celeborn further aids the company with boats which they use to continue their journey down the Silverload and into the great river Anduin, he also aids Aragorn with an Elvish dagger.
