Frodo and The Ring at Amon HenFrodo Baggins inherited the One Ring from his second cousin, Bilbo Baggins, but it was not until Gandalf discovered the nature of the ring that the danger of possessing it fully revealed itself.

Upon finding an unlikely ally in Strider whilst being chased by the Nazgul with companions Sam, Merry, and Pippin the small fellowship journeys to Rivendell.

Though Frodo is near-fatally wounded at the hands of the Nazgul, he finds protection and strength to continue in the hands of Elrond, Lord of Rivendell. Frodo bears the One Ring as no one else can, resisting its temptation and carrying it through the Mines of Moria and Lothlorien to the borders of Mordor.
